Directional sum

The types of directional sum implemented in Easy HVSR are:

NS direction

Choosing this option means that no directional sum is performed: only the trace in the North-South direction of the recording is taken.

EW direction

Choosing this option means that no directional sum is performed: only the trace in the East-West direction of the recording is taken.

Arithmetic mean

Choosing this option means that the two horizontal traces are summed with a simple arithmetic mean.

Geometric mean

Choosing this option means that the two horizontal traces are summed with a simple Euclidean mean.

Quadratic mean

Choosing this option means that the two horizontal traces are summed with the arithmetic mean of the squares.
